Two Posts in one Day!
I thought I’d post a direct link to some of the other new pictures…
Jenn, Jason, Caleb, & Owen!
Owen’s birthday was last month, but I’ve finally uploaded some pictures of his party along with some more misc. 2007 pictures. Also, a happy 3rd birthday to Caleb who’s celebrating with Owen, Mom, & Dad today and then again on Friday for an extended family party.
Below are pictures of what we would look like if we lived in the Simpson’s Universe…

Here is that post I promised a couple of weeks ago with updated pictures from our trip to Seaside. Everyone had a great time
- the boys slept for most of the car ride in both directions so the traveling went well. Caleb loved sleeping in his hotel bed, and Owen didn’t miss a beat. Everything we were worried might go wrong didn’t, and we’re so thankful for that.
Owen was content to sit in his stroller and watch Caleb build (and tear down) sand castles. There’s a video of Caleb’s work over in the movie drop down menu. Caleb liked the Ocean fine, but was knocked over by a 6 inch ‘wave’ and ended up all cold and sandy. After that happened he wasn’t too interested in going near the water, but still wanted to keep at those sand castles, and so he did.
We did all the usual Seaside activities - ate ice cream, visited the shops (Caleb bought a Cars book & a toy car with some of the money his Grandmas gave him), went into the arcade, and let Caleb ride the Carousel three of four times.
In addition to the Seaside pictures, I’ve also updated the Misc. 2007 photo album. There are some pictures ranging from Easter to the end of May.
I meant to post this a while ago. We recorded Caleb’s habit of singing with his Mom before bed. This was done a couple of months ago, and he sings much louder & clearer now. Despite all of that, I thought this was too cute not to post.
I plan on uploading a quick video & some pictures from our recent trip to Seaside in the next couple of days.
Things have been busy, busy, busy. As a result, we haven’t updated our site nearly as often as we would’ve liked. Fear not, for we have added an album of miscellaneous pictures from 2007!Things that have happened since the last update:
We gave up our computer room in favor of giving Caleb his own room (and moving Owen out of our room and into Caleb’s old room). Caleb helped pick the blue to paint it, and helped Dad build his new toddler bed. He’s adjusted well and loves playing with his Little People in his room. He never used to play in the baby room.
Caleb & Owen have both been sick lately. We think they may have picked something up on a recent visit to the zoo. They both have coughs, and Caleb’s been having trouble breathing as well. He’s had to take some albuterol treatments via a nebulizer, which of course he can’t stand. Owen has been chipper throughout, and eating just as much as he ever has, while it’s been like pulling teeth just to get Caleb to eat half an oreo cookie. He seemed to be feeling much better this morning though, so praise God for that.
We have a lot more goodies we’d like to post, including some video of Caleb singing and video of Owen’s first bath, etc. We’ll also try and post some Easter Pictures if they turned out well.
The picture you see to the left is of Caleb telling you to check out the pictures from Christmas. They’re a little late, but I finally put up pictures from Christmas. Also, today marked Owen’s first taste of solid foods! He liked the rice cereal much more than Caleb did. I’m planning on uploading that video once I get more free time.
I just added a couple of new pictures of Owen (that were particularly cute). I’ll put the photos from Christmas up tomorrow. I promise.
We would like to wish you all a merry Christmas!
We praise the Lord that all is well here in the Anspach home! Caleb is such a big helper and he loves his little brother very much. Lately, he loves to play with his fake food and to fix things around the house with his MANY tools. He also enjoys pretending that he is the song leader at church. (He stands up on a chair many times throughout the day and after saying “please stand,” he calls out a song number “hymnal 9999982″ and then directs whoever will sing for him. It’s adorable! His vocabulary increases daily and he is constantly amazing mommy and daddy by what he says. (His newest catch phrases include “good enough,” “Oh, man!,” “Good times!,” and “Oh well!” )
Owen continues to grow and grow and is our happy little guy. His constant smile is such a crowd pleaser and it is such a blessing to have such a joyful baby. He has begun grabbing toys and sticking them in his mouth and he loves to watch his big brother run around the house. We are so very thankful for our two healthy boys!
In other news, after many years of prayer, Jason has decided to attend Western Reformed Seminary and will begin classes in January. He feels called to be a pastor in some capacity and feels immeasurably blessed to being able to mentor under Pastor Fisher. Our family loves our church home at the Tacoma Bible Presbyterian Church and we are all looking prayerfully forward to what the Lord has in store for us there.
As for Jenn, she is staying home with the boys and loves her job as a mommy. Although she is very busy, she is so filled with the joy of mothering boys and feels so blessed by the Lord.
We pray that this letter finds you all well and happy. May the Lord bless you all and may His love fill your holiday with joy.
That was quite a storm we had last Thursday! Part of our fence blew down (thankfully not the part that Jason rebuilt earlier this year) and our front picture window has a nice developing crack, but everyone was kept safe and healthy through it all. Jason was able to repair the fallen part of the fence with relative ease. We lost power for around six hours, but we had already gotten the kids to bed, and it didn’t cause too much chaos. We acquired a newfound thankfulness for our wood stove, and have been praying for those suffering without heat or power.
Jenn’s parent’s were also protected from any physical harm, but four large (at least 40 feet tall) tree were felled, mangling the fence in their front yard. Another tree was uprooted from the force of the larger tree’s roots heaving upward from below.Living in Tacoma proper, Jason’s Mom wasn’t hit very hard by the storm - only suffering a brief loss of power.
Lastly, we’ve uploaded some new pictures to the Misc. 2006 photo album. Enjoy!
